# Reminder

> Reminders are one-time tasks that automatically appear in your daily task list on a specific date.

Unlike **Loops**, reminders do not repeat. They are designed for tasks that only need to happen once.

## Creating a Reminder

1. Open the **Menu**
2. Select **Reminders**
3. Start typing in the input field at the top
4. Choose the **date** you want the reminder to appear
5. Click the **+ button** to save

The reminder will appear in your **Today** task list on the **selected date**.

## How Reminders Behave

* Reminder tasks are automatically added to **Today** on the date you selected
* They appear just like normal tasks and can be completed from the task list
* Reminders only appear **once** and do not repeat
* If a reminder is not completed on that day, it will remain in your task list until completed

## Editing a Reminder

You can:

* Change the reminder date
* Update the task name

Changes apply to the reminder before it appears in your task list. You can not edit it once its added in today's task-list.

## Deleting a Reminder

* Reminders can be deleted from the **Reminders** section
* Deleting a reminder removes it before it appears in your task list

## Reminder vs Loop

| Feature  | Reminder      | Loop                           |
| :------- | :------------ | :----------------------------- |
| Purpose  | One-time task | Repeating goal                 |
| Schedule | Specific date | Daily, weekly, monthly, yearly |
| Behavior | Appears once  | Repeats automatically          |

## Future Improvements

Currently, reminders exist as a **separate feature** from Loops.\
In the future, reminders may be integrated more closely with the loop system to provide a unified task scheduling experience.
