🎥 Video: Coming soon — Backlog workflows

What Backlog Is For

Use Backlog to store:
  • Tasks you don’t want to work on today
  • Ideas, reminders, or responsibilities you want to revisit later
  • Goals you’ve acknowledged but intentionally postponed

Important: Backlog ≠ Unfinished Tasks

Backlog is not a place for incomplete or unchecked tasks. Tasks you fail to complete today are not automatically moved to Backlog. Backlog only contains items you intentionally move there.
This distinction is intentional and core to how the app works.

Actions You Can Take

Move a Task from Today → Backlog

If you realize you won’t be able to complete a task today:
  1. Open the goal options in the Today list
  2. Click Move to Backlog
  3. The task is moved instantly—in one click
This helps you protect focus without losing the task.

Move a Task from Backlog → Today

When a backlog item becomes important or actionable:
  1. Go to the Backlog tab
  2. Open the task options
  3. Click Move to Today
  4. The task appears in today’s task list immediately
No re-creation needed.

Tags & Backlog

At the moment:
  • Tags cannot be added to backlog items
This is a planned feature and will be available in a future update.

Deleting Backlog Items

Deletion Is Permanent

Deleting a backlog item is irreversible. Once deleted, the task cannot be recovered.
Delete only when you’re sure the task is no longer needed.

Why Backlog Exists

  • Keeps your Today list clean and realistic
  • Helps you avoid decision fatigue
  • Encourages intentional planning instead of guilt-driven task carryover
  • Separates “not today” from “forgotten”
